| “Mind the horse road”
was a warning given by parents to their kids about playing
in the road. Not that the kids took any notice! Do
you remember your childhood days? Those days when you had
no cares or real worries, no rent or mortgage payments to
make, no Council Tax to pay, no mouths to feed, no credit
cards to settle. Those golden days when the sun shone every
day of the school summer holidays, pop bottles had wire
stoppers and going all the way meant stopping on the bus
to the bus station.
If you do and even if you don’t
come and join Malcolm, the Kid from Saltley, for a night
of comedy and music. In Mind The Horse Road he plays his
guitar and sings some great songs and tells stories and
anecdotes about his family and the community he lived in
when he grew up in the back streets of Birmingham in the
50’s and 60’s.
